at pals, our teachers bring to life regio emilia ’s approach which is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery through a self-guided curriculum. at its core is an assumption that children form their own personality during early years of development and are endowed with “a hundred languages”, through which they can express their ideas. we believe a balanced learning approach in a loving environment encourages children’s growth in all facets of life including social, emotional, physical, creative, cognitive and character development. you are a vital component of the regio emilia philosophy and as child’s first teacher, we believe parental involvement is key in every aspect of the curriculum. our curriculum create opportunities for children to explore and learn at their own pace form nurturing relationships with those around them develop gross and fine motor skills learn how to work individually as well as in group settings focus on social, emotional and cognitive development help each child develop positive self-esteem and confidence embrace and encourage each child’s uniqueness and development our nutrition good nutrition is a key part of our healthy bodies program that promotes healthy eating and an active lifestyle. we know that the right food at the right time not only boosts energy, but can elevate a child’s mood and thinking skills during a crucial development stage. it’s a vital feature of our healthy bodies program, so you can rest assured that your little one is eating well throughout the day. our meals plans are included with your child’s tuition. breakfast a.m. snack lunch p.m. snack our teachers and staff pals activity center teachers and staff are all state certified and exceed texas state child care requirements. we have been certified by texas rising star and belong to the texas school ready program. in addition, we have partnered with united way bright beginning ( uwbb ), a unique and prestigious program that helps elevate early childhood development. our staff is also extensively trained by uwbb consultants and routinely participates in educational training to enhance their skills and knowledge of child psychology and development. we are proud of the accomplishments of our teachers and staff here at pals and we look forward to working with your child(ren). 0 little people 0 teachers 0 activities 0 happy parents our program infant program babies are born wanting to explore and learn. they learn through all their senses from birth. we encourage learning by providing new opportunities for them to touch, taste, smell, grab and listen to the world around them in a safe and nurturing environment. our movement area allows your baby to move and participate in teacher guided fun activities for kids. manipulating objects and interacting with different materials helps babies learn early math and science concepts. in exploration area your baby will play with soft blocks, knobbed puzzles and more. 4 weeks group sections toddler and early preschool program toddlers and two- years- olds are busy, busy, busy….. they are constantly on the move, exploring and learning through every activity. our teachers ensure they keep growing and developing by leaps and bounds. our activities for toddlers program includes circle time, read aloud story time, art, language, vocabulary, gross and fine motor skills, dramatic play and music. two years old may want to do everything by themselves. it is their way of experimenting, exploring and learning to understand the world. 4 weeks group sections preschool program to the preschooler, nothing is impossible . they want to experience and learn! learn new words, play with new toys, and new ideas every day. they perform in self-directed activities which develop their skills and understanding in writing, art, science, nature, physical skills and respect other children, adult and nature. 4 weeks group sections pre-kindergarten program four year old kids have a natural affinity f or language. they are starting to think logically and can use complete sentences to express their feelings. our activities program helps them stretch their imagination and discover new concepts with confidence. their activities for kids include construction and design, writing, creativity and art, learning to read and write, math and manipulative, science and sensorial. 4 weeks group sections before and after-school program we provide transportation and to and from area public schools. upon arrival in the afternoon, the children may rest or may choose to do homework. the children may also choose to art activities and activities craft, play in the center area, or enjoy games on computers if outside play time is warranted due to bad weather. the teacher routinely conducts story-telling, organized writing or art/craft work activities for children. the center also plans outside educational/fun field summer activities for kids during summer, thanksgiving or christmas break. 4 weeks group sections our partnership pals activities center has recently partnered with sam houston state university to launch a charter school right on our campus!
